Bamberg, Germany

So our plans changed somewhat today after a night of bbq and drinks. Of course you can't really complain when you get to wake up to a view like this.

Instead of Munich right away we decided to stay in the area a bit longer and went instead to visit Bamberg, a nearby city which was considerably larger and nicer than Schweinfurt.

After a bit of walking around, even a cool German beer couldn't help us as the temperatures reached up to 36C. So we took shelter in a church instead.

Once we had recovered slightly, we were ready to brave the heat again but found ourselves in need of a bit of inspiration.

So we went for a wander around the local rose garden.

  

Soon however the heat simply became too much, and I was ready to close the door on this chapter of the adventure.

So finally we said our goodbyes (again), and prepared to head out to Munich (for real this time).
